NearJobs Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 21, 2026

NearJobs exists so Clients and Providers can arrange local work with clear expectations, fair treatment, and practical safety. These guidelines explain the behaviour we expect from everyone using the Platform.

1. Respect and non-discrimination

Treat other users with respect. Do not harass, threaten, insult, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone based on race, colour, religion, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, marital status, or any other protected characteristic.

2. Honest job posts and quotes

Clients must describe jobs honestly, including the work needed, location, budget, urgency, access conditions, hazards, and known constraints. Providers must send quotes that accurately describe price, scope, timing, taxes, materials, call-out fees, licensing, insurance, and deposit terms.

3. Genuine first-hand reviews only

Reviews must come from real completed jobs and reflect a genuine first-hand experience. Do not post fake reviews, review your own business, pressure someone for a positive review, offer payment for a review, or use reviews to threaten another user.

4. No illegal services

Do not post, request, offer, arrange, or perform services that are illegal or that would require licences, permits, or insurance you do not have. Users are responsible for understanding and following the laws that apply to their work.

5. No sexual or adult content or services

NearJobs does not allow sexual or adult content or services of any kind. This includes pornography, escort or companionship services, erotic massage, sexualized images, sexual requests, or any service of a sexual nature. Accounts that post, request, offer, or provide this content or these services may be permanently banned.

6. No fee circumvention

Do not use NearJobs to avoid marketplace fees, subscriptions, lead credits, or other charges where they apply. Do not create duplicate accounts, move platform workflows off-platform to avoid required fees, scrape data, or use the Platform in a way that undermines fair access for other users.

7. Safety basics for meeting in person

Use good judgment before meeting or entering a job site. Confirm the job scope, arrival time, address, payment expectations, and who will be present. Providers should verify licence and insurance requirements before taking work. Clients should avoid sharing exact addresses until they are ready to proceed. If there is an emergency or immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

8. Reporting and blocking

Use Report when a job post, profile, message, offer, or review appears unsafe, fraudulent, abusive, sexual or adult-oriented, discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise against these guidelines. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, permanently ban users, or escalate serious issues where appropriate.

Use Block when you do not want to interact with another user. Blocking hides that user's visible requests, offers, messages, and reviews from your app experience where the current data model can identify them.

9. Enforcement

We may enforce these guidelines based on reports, account activity, content review, or other safety signals. Enforcement can include warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, account suspension, permanent bans, or other action needed to protect the marketplace.
